The short version
What you type into a calculator never leaves your browser. FreightFigure has no backend and no database, so there is nowhere for your shipment data to go even if we wanted it.
We do use Google Analytics to count visits, and we intend to show advertising. Both of those involve cookies, and both are covered below.
Calculator inputs
Every calculation on this site runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Dimensions, weights, costs, mileage and any other figure you enter are processed on your device and are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Some calculators copy your inputs into the page URL so a result can be shared. That URL stays in your browser unless you choose to share it. Be aware that if you do share it, the values in it travel with the link.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators get used and where visitors arrive from. It sets cookies and collects a limited set of technical information, including your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you reached them.
We do not use analytics to identify individuals, and we do not combine it with anything you type into a calculator, because we never receive that.
Google’s own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, or by declining analytics cookies in the consent banner where one is shown.
Advertising
This site carries advertising slots. No ad network is live yet. When one is, this section will name it and describe the cookies it sets, before any ad code is added to the site.
Where advertising is personalized, you can control it through your own Google Ads settings and through the consent banner.
Consent in the EEA and the UK
If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies, which are the ones needed for the site to function, are set without consent as the law permits.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser, which will bring the banner back.
Local storage
Your browser may keep small amounts of data for this site, such as your consent choice and your preferred units. This stays on your device and is not readable by us.
Hosting
The site is hosted as static files on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes connection information such as IP addresses in order to serve pages and to protect against abuse.
Children
This is a tool for freight and logistics professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold no account data, in practice this concerns the analytics data described above.

Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes, such as adding an ad network, will be described here before they take effect.
