These terms cover your use of freightfigure.com and the calculators on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Estimates, not quotes
Every figure this site produces is an estimate. Freight pricing depends on your carrier’s tariff, your negotiated contract, accessorial charges, fuel tables, equipment availability and the actual condition and dimensions of your freight on the day it ships.
Nothing here is a quotation, an offer, or a commitment by any carrier. Always confirm class, billed weight and charges with your carrier before booking.
Not professional advice
The calculators and guides are general information. They are not tax, legal, customs, financial or regulatory advice, and using them does not create a professional relationship of any kind.
The IFTA calculator deserves a specific mention: it is a checking tool for your own records. It is not a tax return, it does not file anything, and it is not a substitute for the return you submit to your base jurisdiction.
Accuracy and rule changes
We take the rule numbers seriously. The NMFC density scale, carrier dimensional weight divisors, container dimensions and truck capacities are each dated with when they were last verified, and those dates are shown on the site.
Even so, rules change, carriers revise their terms without notice, and errors are possible. We make no warranty that any figure is current, complete or correct, and you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. If you find an error, please tell us at hello@freightfigure.com.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreightFigure is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its output, including lost profits, reclassification charges, corrected invoices, penalties or business interruption.
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely, including for commercial work. You may not:
- scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site in a way that burdens it or republishes it as your own;
- remove or obscure the “Powered by FreightFigure” attribution on a free embed;
- present the output as a carrier quotation or as advice from a licensed professional;
- attempt to interfere with the site or the systems that serve it.

Intellectual property
The design, written content and code of this site belong to FreightFigure. The underlying rules — the NMFC classification, carrier tariffs, IFTA rates and ISO container standards — are the property of their respective owners and are referenced here as factual information.
Third-party links and advertising
The site links to carrier and authority pages, and carries advertising and sponsor placements. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
The governing jurisdiction for these terms will be stated here before launch, once the operating entity is settled.
